22 killed in Bghdad jail attack

Twenty-two people were killed when a barrage of 18 mortars hit a Baghdad jail.
The mortars struck the Baghdad Confinement Facility run by the US-led coalition. US military officials announced at a news conference that preliminary reports said all the casualties were prisoners. No information was given on whether the prisoners were suspected criminals or "security detainees," Iraqis detained on suspicion of involvement in anti-US violence or in the remnants of Saddam Hussein 's Baathist regime.
