Less People Missing in Chechnya

Over 400 Chechen citizens have disappeared without a trace in the republic since beginning of 2003, Deputy Chairman of the Chechen government Movsur Khamidov said Monday. Movsur Khamidov oversees governmental relations with the force structures; he adds that the number of kidnapping has recently reduced in the republic. This is explained with the fact that disappearance of people wins faster response nowadays. The Chechen president devotes much attention to the problem, and the republican Interior Ministry has become even more efficient, the vice-premier of the Chechen government says.
