Russian Red Cross Helps Victims of Yakutia Fire

The Russian Red Cross (RKK) has rendered assistance to the children victimised by the fire in the settlement of Sydybyl, Yakutia, on April 7th.

The RKK press service said that its branch in Yakutia had opened an account for money donations. RKK volunteers are collecting charitable gifts. The families of the victims have been given foodstuffs.

RKK staff in Moscow have contacted over 70 private and state-run companies in a bid to collect money donations and contribute medical and sanitary equipment. Some companies have responded, sending to the Red Cross burn ointments, special medicines and dressings with extended service life, the press service reported.
