Toys contaminated with mercury have been found in Moscow

According to Moscow City Chief Sanitary Doctor Nikolai Filatov, after the complaint of one of the buyers, toys "Father Frost " and "Heart" were withdrawn from the buyer's apartment in 3-rd Road Passage and from the wholesale warehouse located in Volkhov Lane.
Sanitary specialists carried out laboratory testing six samples of toys (five made of fabric  and one plastic) manufactured by Krasny Vostorg (Red Delight) company in the town of Klin of Moscow region.
The tests results revealed droplets of metal mercury on the toy surface and inside the polyester fibre stuffing of the two samples taken from the buyer's apartment.
Inside the other four samples brought from the warehouse no metal mercury was revealed, however the air inside the toys' packaging exceeded maximum permissible vapor metal concentration 10-30 times.
The wholesale warehouse is has been surveyed by experts of State Sanitary Center who have revealed on its premise exceeding maximum permissible mercury vapor concentration 3-15 times.
Under the decision of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Moscow Central Administrative District, the warehouse operation and selling its toys has been suspended. Searching and eliminating mercury has been conducted in the buyer's apartment.
