Russia and Afghanistan stand together on the future government of Afghanistan, said British foreign minister Jack Straw after meeting his Russian counterpart Igor Ivanov. We believe that there should be a line between the fanatic Taleban and the ordinary Taleban, he noted. Straw also pointed out that Great Britain saw the future Afghan government as including above all the Pashtuns as the nation-forming ethnic group. In turn, Igor Ivanov pointed out that Moscow and London stood together on the bulk of international problems and stressed he saw no serious differences concerning the future Afghan government.
