Days of culture of Azerbaijan opened in St. Petersburg on Friday. According to St. Petersburg's Committee of foreign relations, the days of culture of Azerbaijan are held in Russia on the initiative of the culture ministers of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Azerbaijan. On the Days of culture, St. Petersburg will be visited by an official delegation of the culture ministry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, headed by culture minister Palad Bjulbjul-Ogli. The culture minister will have a meeting with St. Petersburg's governor Vladimir Yakovlev. During the meeting in Smolny, prospects for cooperation in the field of culture between Azerbaijan and St. Petersburg and possible participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in preparations and holding of 300th jubilee celebrations of St. Petersburg will be discussed. Currently, preparations are under way in St. Petersburg for a ceremonial unveiling of the monument to Nizami, a great thinker and poet, which was presented by the Republic of Azerbaijan as a gift to the city.
