Why the missile shield in Poland is wrong

The U.S. wants to build a missile shield in Poland, basically in the back yard of Russia. The reason given is for the well-being of millions. However, if truth be known, Poland would run like heck to get away from being the pawn of the world-empire ambitions of an administration that is losing ground in their own country. The people of the U.S. are not behind the ideals of the White House. They can see further evidence daily of the world domination views of the President and especially the Vice President.

Take this scenario and turn it around. If Russia desired to be the savior of Europe and the Middle East and decided to place a missile shield in the state of Texas, the outcry would be like the shot heard 'round the world. It is plain and simply asking innocent people to allow a government to use their people, their land, and their safety for an agenda that is political and selfish. When push comes to shove, the U.S. will look the other way and the nations involved will have to battle it out themselves. Peace, while not perfect, exists in these areas, and to add the tension of this missile shield is playing with fire for both sides. While Poland claims it is economic, thir government should understand there is not enough money in the world to repay the deaths and destruction that such action could evoke in their land. The families that would take the brunt of any retaliation or would be caught in the middle of a world-wide power struggle will do the suffering and the money - well, it could go the way of being useless because of nuclear attack, money will be an unnecessary evil. Take Iraq as an example. Money by the billions is poured into the war in Iraq, but the people, the everyday man, woman, and child can't buy what they need because of the devastation by bombs and weaponry. They can't go out and enjoy what money can buy because this day may be their last day, depending on what occurs. So money, while very appealing and desirable is limited in what it can do when war in waged, and death and destruction are a reminder of how fleeting monetary gain can be.

While the lives of the Polish people are not part of the equation on either side, when money is factored in, what about the peril to the rest of the world? While there may not be a cold war per se, the U.S. continues to build and maintain more powerful missiles and bombs. Does anyone really believe that the rest of the world is not or will not do the same, because pre-emptive is already a pattern set into motion by the U.S.

If the people of the U.S. do not trust their administration and their ideas that involve the sacrifice of human beings, while they remain safe behind the facade of the walls of the White House, does the rest of the world really think that they would be treated otherwise? Arms are being built, research is being conducted for stronger, bigger, and more destructive - and now invading the land of Europe - well, if the people of America are taking the slow trip to realizing the truth, Europe and the rest of the world should be vigilant. The dollars made by any promises from the Administration will burn in the fires of nuclear or land wars, just as swiftly as they will be useless when the U.S. dollar drops - and it will.

The world has been around long enough to realize that something is not right here and that the ideas being tossed out into the world leave a lot of unanswered questions and concerns that are met with rhetoric and innuendos. Bottom line - the U.S. should stay out of other countries - they are doing fine without the intervention and it is the greed of the Almighty Dollar that sways and leads others into the trap of being a part of what is unsavory, and false.

May the world think twice before acting or accepting "words." Words are cheap, money is fleeting, but the lives that are precious in any land mean nothing to some governments. They do to the families and the future of the up and coming generations.
