Russian bomber planes fly to Crimea

A squadron of Russian Tu-22 M3 bombers is heading to the Crimea. The Russian Defense Ministry is sending the bombers to the peninsula to strengthen the attack group of the Russian Air Force in the region.

The aircraft will be able to reach a vast territory beyond the shores of the Black Sea. The decision of the Russian defense department will thus improve the defense  capability of the Black Sea area. In addition to that, sending the bombers to the Crimea is Russia's attempt to respond to a recent move of the United States to deploy air defense system in Romania.
