Police officers of the Moscow region had to play the role of obstetricians as they helped a Muscovite woman give birth to a baby boy. The woman’s birth pangs began on a highway in the Moscow region.
A family of Muscovites was returning to the city from their dacha in the town of Kirzhach. A 29-year-old woman had her birth pangs started on the way home. Police officers called the ambulance, but the woman gave birth to a boy before the vehicle arrived. The woman’s husband and two traffic inspectors helped the woman in her labor.
The ambulance took the mother and child to the maternity hospital in the town of Balashikha.
“The labor went fine . The boy, 50 cm in height, was born weighing 3.36 kilos,” the press service of the road police said with reference to information from medics.
