The bill had called for the names of suspected Soviet secret police informants, whose names appeared in files left behind by the departing Soviet intelligence service in 1992, to be published in the state's official newspaper, Vestnesis, on Nov 1, the AP reports.
The date was picked to avoid any political influence on upcoming parliamentary elections in October.
However, the documents are incomplete and contain only the files of agents active in 1991, when they were recruited and by whom, according to officials who oversee the archive.
