Jordan: pro-Zarqawi lawmakers charged with instigating sectarian strife

The lawmakers of the Islamic Action Front, Mohammed Abu Fares, Jaafar al-Hourani, Ali Abu Sukkar and Ibrahim al-Mashwakhi, were also charged with "fueling national discord," said the judicial official, who spoke on customary condition of anonymity because he was not allowed to speak to the press, the AP reports.

One of the legislators, Abu Fares, described al-Zarqawi as a "martyr," but said he would not apply the term to the "mobs and ignorant people" killed in the bombings.
