Israeli forces fired a missile at a car in the northern Gaza Strip after nightfall Monday, witnesses said, killing two Palestinians.
Paramedics and witnesses said the missile destroyed the car and incinerated the two men inside, who was not immediately identified. Three bystanders were injured in the blast, they said. The targeted vehicle was a yellow minibus traveling on a farm road. The area is often used for firing rockets at Israel.
The Israeli military confirmed that it carried out an airstrike in northern Gaza.
Israel has stepped up its airstrikes in recent days, killing five other militants, after repeated rocket attacks at Israeli towns from Gaza, reports AP.
