French Aircraft Will Not Be Based At Tajik Air Base

"No bilateral documents and agreements on basing of French airplanes at the air base of Kulyaba town have been signed" between Tajikistan and France, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Tolbak Nazarov told journalists on Monday. But, as he said, "Tajikistan has joined the antiterrorist coalition and will make a contribution of its own, together with the USA and its allies, to the struggle against international terrorism". Nazarov specially stressed that the republic's air bases can be used by aviation only "for humanitarian and rescue purposes". "Basing of any fighters or bombers is out of question", the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan said.
