16 Russian sailors stuck on raft

They had transferred from a South Korean cargo ship, which was in danger of sinking, onto a raft. They were floating off the coast of the remote Japanese island of Okino-Tori-Shima last night, according to ITAR-TASS.

The Japanese coastguards stated that four vessels are in the area on their way to rescue the Russians, which it is hoped will take place during the day on Monday.
