Negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Poland Alexander Kwasniewski have started in Warsaw. The presidents were paying special attention to economic and trade relations between Russia and Poland. In particular, they were talking about the possibility of constructing a gas pipeline from Russia to Western Europe via Poland. In addition, Putin and Kwasniewski will consider the development of scientific and technical, cultural and tourist collaboration between Russia and Poland. On January 17 they are expected to sign an agreement on the development of a Russian-Polish tourism partnership. The RTR television reported that the presidents had already completed one-on-one negotiations and other officials joined their discussion.
