NATO Welcomes Its Relations with Russia

The North Atlantic Alliance welcomes what is being done to enhance cooperation between NATO and Russia and is ready to consider Russia's initiatives, a NATO representative said in his comment on the appointment of Konstantin Totsky as Russia's plenipotentiary representative to NATO.

The interlocutor on a condition of anonymity said that the view was shared by permanent representatives of most NATO countries during recent meetings on the alliance strategy.
