11 Russian female tennis players are still among the top 100 world's tennis players. A new rating of the Women Tennis Association /WTA/ has been released on Monday.
Russia's best tennis player is Anastasiya Myskina, who occupies the 11th line of the rating list with 2,150.00 points. By having lost one position, Yelena Bovina went down to the 17th line with 1,493.25 points. Yelena Dementyeva, by having reached the semi-finals of the tennis tournament in Paris, improved her standing by two positions and occupies now the 18th line of the rating list with 1,455.00 points.
Eight more Russian female tennis players entered the list of the world's top 100 tennis players. They are: 22. Tatiana Panova /1,259.00 points/, 36. Yelena Likhovtseva /886.00 points/, 40. Vera Zvonaryova /832.25 points/, 48. Svetlana Kuznetsova /743.00 points/, 54. Anna Kurnikova /676.00 points/, 69. Dinara Safina /517.25 points/, 83. Alina Zhidkova /425.75 points/, 96. Lina Krasnorutskaya /387.50 points/.
The top lines of the WTA rating are still occupied by the American Williams sisters - Serena on the first line with 7,273.00 points and Venus on the second with 5,089.00 points. They are followed by the two Belgian players - Kim Clijsters /3,763.00 points/ and Justine Henin-Hardenne /3,350.00 points/.
The fifth line of the rating list is occupied by promising Slovakian tennis star Daniela Hantuchova /2,835.00 points/, who is followed by finalist of the "Gaz de France" tournament in Paris Amelie Mauresmo from France /2,805.00 points/.
The following three lines of the rating list belong to the US players. Jennifer Capriati /2,790.00 points/, Lindsay Davenport /2,534.00 points/ and Monica Seles /2,364 points/, who are on the 7th, 8th and 9th positions.
The top ten of the world's best female tennis players closes with Yugoslavian tennis player Jelena Dokic with 2,353.00 points.
