In a rural area near the Indian city of Bareilly, a monkey snatched a baby from parents and killed the child, NDTV reports.
Nirdesh Upadhyay, a 25-year-old local villager, was walking on the terrace on the third floor of the house with his wife and their four-month-old son. Suddenly, a flock of aggressive monkeys appeared there. The child's parents tried to scare the primates away, but the monkeys surrounded the man. The man, while holding the baby in his arms, tried to break through to the stairs, but dropped the baby. One of the monkeys grabbed the babyboy and threw the child off the roof.
The child was killed on the spot. The parents reported the incident to the authorities. The Indian Forest Service is investigating the incident.
