The &to=http://english.pravda.ru/science/19/94/378/11286_divine.html' target=_blank>death of nationally renowned surgeon Jonathan Drummond-Webb has shocked his family, friends and colleagues.
Dr. Drummond, who was the subject of a 2002 ABC mini-series, had a national reputation for excellence, but in the early hours Sunday morning the doctor's wife found him in their study, dead from an apparent overdose on medications, leaving just a &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/2001/07/27/11117.html' target=_blank>suicide note, reports KATV.
For most the reaction Sunday is shock after news of Dr. Drummond-Webb's death. The doctor, by most signs seemed to be at the top of the world especially in his profession, but apparently that just wasn't the case.
Dr. Jonathan Bates, chief executive officer of Arkansas Children's Hospital, said Drummond-Webb worked tirelessly to save his patients.
"Some would say they saved 98 out of 100," Bates said Sunday. "He looked at it and said I lost two out of 100."
