Giant black hole awakens in Milky Way Galaxy

A giant black hole has awoken in V404 Cygni system that is located in our galaxy. Specialists from the European Space Agency noticed its activity and said that the black hole was showing "signs of life" 26 years ago.

The black hole is located at a distance of up to 8,000 light-years from Earth. Scientists were monitoring the black hole with the help of  ESA Integral satellite.

The black hole is very active, and its behavior is too unpredictable: the glow of the black hole changes in moments.

While the black hole was staying in a passive state, scientists were able to explore the area, having studied a companion star of the dangerous object.
