Russian convinced only 'road map' can save Palestine and Israel from terror

Russian is determined to help revive the 'road map' as the only program able to lead to a normalization of the Arab-Israeli conflict. As reported to Rosbalt by the press office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia is convinced that only the revival of the program and the joint efforts of Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the area of security can prevent terrorism and establish the conditions for a normalization of the conflict on the basis of the peaceful coexistence of the two governments within secure borders.

'It is indispensable that both Israelis and Palestinians practice restraint and do not rush into actions which could inflame the situation in the region even further,' said the vice-chairman of the Russian delegation in Geneva at a special meeting of the 60th session of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights. The meeting was dedicated to the situation on occupied Palestinian territory.
