Newest international developments in the sphere of police, anti-terrorist and hostage-rescue equipment will be exhibited today at a testing area near Moscow. The show, which includes exhibits from the United States, France and Poland is organised in the framework of the international exhibition Interpolitex - 2003 (means of state security).
The visitors will be able to watch a helicopter assault landing and a staged scene of a close-combat fighting with "terrorists." The show is conducted at a former artillery firing range near a town of Krasnoarmeisk (50 km from Moscow). During World War II, it was used to test famous Soviet-made Katyushas and T-34 tanks.
Defense Ministry plans to make the former firing range with the length of 25 km and the width of 8 km permanent show grounds of Russian weaponry.
