Russian president Vladimir Putin believes it is necessary to intensify the dialog between Russian and German businessmen.
"It is important now to step up the dialog between the business associations, including those organized according to the regional principle," the president said at a meeting with representatives of Russian and German business circles in Yekaterinburg (the regional center in the Urals federal district).
Putin believes that special attention should be paid to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as the thrashing out of the optimal mechanisms of collaboration.
Vladimir Putin pointed out that more than 2,000 firms with German participation work in Russia today. "Such cooperation not only brings profit but also strengthens mutual trust. Businessmen of our countries acquire a great experience of joint work, based on the principles of business ethics and careful attitude to one's own reputation," said the head of the Russian state.
