Blix: Iraq destroyed its WMD 10 years ago

Iraq destroyed its weapons of mass destruction 10 years ago, Hans Blix, former head of UNMOVIC (United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission) believes.

According to the Swedish diplomat, American and British special services provided wrong information, to unleash a war on Iraq.

"The more time that has passed, the more I think it's unlikely that anything will be found," Blix said. "Maybe they'll find some documents of interest," he added.

Blix was head of UNMOVIC, which, together with IAEA experts, was trying for three years to find proofs of Iraq's producing weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missiles.
