B-52 pilot felt deep emotion flying over Moscow

Rob Bassian, pilot of the American B-52 strategic bomber recently participating in the Iraq war, felt deep emotion when he saw Moscow under the wings. He said this to the RIA Novosti correspondent when asked what were his impressions of the first flight to Russia in his life. Several American military aircraft participate in the air show for the first time now under way in Zhukovski near Moscow.

I felt deep emotion when saw Moscow streets under the wings of our strategic bomber B-52, said Bassian of his flight from the Russian borders to Zhukovski above Moscow.

Another American pilot, Landy Renegar of the F-15, told RIA Novosti that he was especially honoured to be the first American to show aerobatics in the Moscow skies. I was especially excited when I participated in a demonstration flight before President Putin, said Renegar. The demonstration flights were held last Tuesday, when MAKS-20093 opened.
