The main purpose of the event is to promote the use of Russian metallurgical products in the oil and gas industry. The forum will allow the two sectors of the economy to build closer ties and will try to attract investment into production facilities oriented towards the oil and gas industry.
The forum will include a business programme consisting of conferences, seminars and round-table discussions on improving technical know-how, developing exports and other pressing issues. The business programme is being organised by the country's leading producers of metallurgical goods and both domestic and foreign consumers of these products in the oil and gas industry.
