EBRD to release loan to Lenenergo
Today, EBRD President Jean Lemierre is arriving in St. Petersburg where he is scheduled to meet Anatoly Chubais, head of RAO UES, and sign a $40m seven-year loan for Lenenergo.
As it was previously reported, Lenenergo is going to attract resources for completing the construction of a heat power plant. The company estimates the necessary investments for the project at $60m.
Additionally, Lemierre will attend the 7th St. Petersburg Economic Forum, and have talks with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and several members of his Cabinet, as well as various CIS government leaders.
