Investments in St. Petersburg's Pulkovo international airport for reconstruction purposes due to the upcoming 300th anniversary of the city amounted to $34m, Pulkovo Deputy Director Valery Indusov reported at a press conference in response to a question of an RBC correspondent. According to him, $15m in investments were provided by the federal budget, another $19m were from the company's own resources.
The repair works involve the reconstruction of the departure and arrival halls and the runways, as well as building additional facilities. The works will be completed before May 20.
As reported earlier, the airport will be closed for regular flights on May 30 and 31 to receive some 70 aircrafts with 44 foreign delegations on board.
