MICEX Stock Trade Volumes Hit Record
The volume of MICEX yesterday's stock trade amounted to RUR16.118bn (about $518.2m), the MICEX press service reported. This became the highest stock trade volume in MICEX history. The previous RUR15.518bn ($498.9m) record volume was registered on February 19, 2003.
RAO UES, Surgutneftegas, LUKoil and Mosenergo were the leaders in trade volumes. MICEX trading sessions covered 305 securities from 160 largest issuers including RAO UES, Surgutneftegas, LUKoil, Gazprom, Sberbank, Vneshtorgbank and Rostelecom with a total capitalization of some $80bn.
