The near future will witness an experiment to attract commercial structures to supplying the Russian army with food.
This year the experiment will start in three units of the Moscow military district, Head of the Russian Defence Ministry's Central Food Administration, Anatoli Petrichenko, informed journalists.
The innovation will most probably be implemented in the medical, combined arms and air force units, Petrichenko pointed out.
At the first stage of the experiment commercial structures will only supply food. Later on, they will be commissioned with cooking as well.
The experiment will take into account foreign armies' experience, Petrichenko stressed. This innovation will free the staff from some duties and allow them to devote more time to combat training.
