Financing of national defense to be increased

Over the next years the volume of funds allocated on Russia's national defense and law enforcement will be growing, Russian Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin declared at a briefing in the House of Government. He admitted that it was important to improve purchases of necessary goods in this sphere. According to him, the government commission for optimizing budget expenses found that a lot of fuel and lubricants were purchased without conducting tenders.

Kudrin specified that the optimization of budget expenses envisaged the improvement of the use of allocated funds, not just a decrease in financing.
