Ruble strengthens at UTS

In the first half of this morning's session on US currency the weighted average dollar exchange rate amounted to 31.28 RUR/USD, which was RUR0.01 lower than the previous rate. The ruble has strengthened again after a one-day pause, because yesterday it remained unchanged, while on April 1 and 2 the dollar dropped by RUR0.09 at the UTS.

Dealers of commercial banks attribute today's decrease in the dollar to the fact that yesterday's trade on US currency on the interbank market closed at 31.28 RUR/USD for deals with settlements on April 4. As a result the weighted average rate at today's UTS has also eased back, experts pointed out.
