Vladimir Putin Warns Against Attempts To Re-carve The World

Vladimir Putin warns against attempts to re-carve the world. "One should never forget what the militaristic ambitions of politicians and whole countries, and their claims to dominate the world may lead to," stressed the Russian President at a ceremony in St.George's Hall of the Kremlin presenting state awards to World War II veterans and servicemen who took part in the counter-terrorist operation in the Northern Caucasus. Vladimir Putin urged always to remember "the tragic consequences that attempts to re-carve the world may have." The President congratulated those who attended the meeting on Victory Day, which for more than fifty years now has been marked as a "day of national memory and national pride." Vladimir Putin said that "we remember the war not only because it is our duty to do so." "Our Victory will always be significant, because its lessons are significant," stressed the head of state.
