Igor Telin: over half of Mordovian college graduates left jobless

4,300 young specialists graduated from three higher educational institutions in the Republic of Mordovia this year. Of the total number of graduates, 1,400 were assigned to a job, 400 managed to find a job independently, 100 will be majoring at post-graduate courses, and 100 joined army service, the republic’s statistics committee says. So, more than half of the graduate are left out of job, have joined the ranks of the unemployed or got engaged in murky deals. Those are deplorable results of reforms making higher education useless. Russia may become a country of ignoramuses.
