Following a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, Premier of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kasyanov informed journalists that the government was going to introduce a bill on amendments to the 2000 budget, signed by the premier, to the State Duma. Kasyanov hopes the bill will be passed on the first reading this week. The premier also discussed with the president measures taken by the government to exchange payments in kind made to the military personnel for money compensations, RBC announces. According to the head of the government, the government would deliberate on first results of the introduction of a new payment system December 14, 2000.
