An action of the anti-submarine defense department of Navy dismissed

Moscow court dismissed an action of the anti-submarine defense department of Navy against American businessman Edmond Pope, accused of espionage, about reparation of 7 milliard rubles of damages. According to Pope’s lawyer Pavel Astakhov, the court claimed that the action “was filed with infringement of criminal and legal laws”, Interfax reports. The lawyer explained that the civil suit can be filed in the period of time after bringing an action but before the beginning investigation in court. In this connection Astakhov added that the investigation of Pope’s case in court started October 18.
