Australia: Two men in Afghanistan

Two more Australian nationals are in Afganistan and, according to government sources, may have been trained in al-Qaeda terrorist camps. Defence Minister Robet Hill and Attorney-General Daryl Williams released today a joint statement to confirm two Australian men, one who has served in the Australian army, are in Afghanistan. The statement says, however, that it's unclear whether the men were fighting for the Taliban. Mr. Williams said today in a newspaper interview: "We don't know their whereabouts, we don't know what activities they've been engaged in, investigations are continuing on that front."
