Putin Comments On Reduction In Russia's Foreign Debt

The Russian foreign debt dropped $10 billion this year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced at a meeting of the Cabinet in the house of government today. He stressed that this reduction required no financial aid from foreign countries. According to Putin, Russia repaid both domestic and foreign debts on time and in full in 2001, RTR television reported.
