Catching some rays in Italy is dangerous

American Air Force aces strike again

American pilots have “excelled” again. This time, it didn’t happen in Afghanistan or Iraq; it happened in a quiet resort place in Italy. Their “deed” became so “remarkable” that it caused the city court of Padua to investigate it.

There was not anything special about the incident, actually. The pilots of three American choppers decided to fly very low over a packed Italian beach. RIA Novosti reported that the rotating blades of the helicopters raised tons of sand into the air, yanking up umbrellas and scattering beach chairs all over the place. Five people were injured. According to eyewitnesses, the altitude was so low that one could see the pilots’ faces easily.

The flight control officers of the airport of Venice and the residents of Vicenza confirmed the incident involving US Air Force helicopters. Vicenza residents said that the choppers nearly touched the roofs of their houses.

It has become known that the beach mess was caused by three US Air Force helicopters that were flying from the US Aviano base. The incident is currently being investigated. This might seem a bit funny, but something much more serious happened several years ago. A low flying US jet hit the support cables of a ski lift, which killed 25 people. The pilot was not punished. So, before you go on a vacation to Italy, think about it: American Air Force aces could be waiting for you there.
