Foreign Chemical Weapons Won't Be Brought to Russia for Processing

According to the statement made on Tuesday at the public forum on Russia's fulfillment of the convention banning chemical weapons by Zinovy Pak, General Director of Russian Ammunition Agency, foreign chemical weapons will not be brought to our country for processing.

Mr. Pak said that no agreements to this effect existed at this time among the countries that have such weapons. In the meantime, Mr. Pak noted that Russia was prepared to help any country, including Iraq to dispose of chemical weapons. 'Russia', he said, 'has a clear-cut strategy as concerns the destruction of chemical weapons, although there are also problems financing the process either from Russia's state budget or by donor states'.
