A truck and a tour bus collided Tuesday on a highway north of Paris, killing four Russians and injuring 40 others, French officials said.
The accident took place near the town of Brasseuse, in the Oise region north of the capital, local officials said. The truck hit the bus from behind, they said.
The driver of the bus and three passengers all Russians died, and 10 others were badly injured, regional leader Philippe Gregoire said. Another 30 people were slightly injured, he said.
The bus was registered in Poland, according to the National Center for Roadway Information.
Regional officials said traffic was heavy and there were frequent bottlenecks along the section of the A1 highway where the accident took place, reports AP.
