International Red Cross: Situation in Bagdad Critical

Specialists at the International Red Cross are calling the situation in Bagdad 'critical.' The hospitals are not coping with the torrent of injured, says the organization's press service.

Representatives of the International Red Cross delivered surgical equipment to the central hospital in Bagdad. They also said there was not enough water and electricity in the hospital, and of 27 scheduled operations only six could be undertaken. Currently, specialists are trying to deliver water to the hospital.
