Two Russian soldiers killed in Chechnya, another four sustain wounds

Two servicemen have been killed and another four sustained wounds in Chechnya, Chechnya's interior affairs department reported on Saturday.

The other day, unidentified gunmen opened small arms fire on police officers and soldiers of the Military Commandant's Office who were carrying out a special operation on the outskirts of the Chernorechye village, the Zavodskoi district of Grozny. The law- enforcers opened return fire. Police Warrant Officer Oleg Kuznetsov and Ali Akrashev, a soldier assigned to the Military Commandant's Office, were killed in the skirmish. Another four servicemen sustained various wounds. The attackers also suffered casualties. An operation to find and arrest the gunmen is currently in full swing in the area.
