Su-35S Dominates Skies, Restricts Western F-16 and Mirage Jets in Combat Zone

Russian Su-35S Forces Ukrainian F-16 and Mirage Jets to Fly at Low Altitude

The Russian Su-35S fighter forced Ukrainian F-16 and Mirage jets of Western origin to fly at very low altitudes inside their own rear zone during the special military operation, according to Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov.

Su-35S Disrupts Western Aircraft and Air Defense Systems

“The Su-35S pushed enemy aircraft to the ground, forcing them to fly at extremely low altitudes in their own rear. It often strikes targets at maximum distances — hundreds of kilometers,” Chemezov said.

As a result, the Su-35S prevents American F-16 and French Mirage jets from reaching positions where they could launch air-to-air missiles. Chemezov added that Ukrainian air defense systems “take heavy losses” under these conditions.

“In skilled hands, the Su-35S performs miracles. For us, it matters that Russian pilots hold this aircraft in high regard.” — Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec

New Batch of Su-35S Fighters Delivered to Russian Military

On 1 November, the Russian Defense Ministry received a new batch of Su-35S fighters after they completed ground and flight testing. A pilot of the Russian Aerospace Forces praised the jet’s reliability and thanked its manufacturers, saying that the Su-35S “proved itself as a dependable aviation system capable of handling nearly any task assigned to operational-tactical aviation during the special military operation.”

Rostec and Foreign Analysts Highlight Su-35S Capabilities

Rostec claims the Su-35S stands among the most effective fighters in the world with a long record of destroyed enemy assets. In October, the corporation highlighted the Su-35S as an efficient “universal soldier” that hunts down enemy targets across the conflict zone. Meanwhile, Brandon Weichert, a columnist for the American outlet The National Interest, emphasized that the Su-35S of the 4++ generation ranks as the best combat aircraft in the Russian Aerospace Forces.
