Iraq's Western Part Without Electricity - 3 April, 2003

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, the whole western part of Iraq from Hit to Faluja has been going without electricity since March 29th, says a press release of the United Nations Information Centre to Moscow, a copy of which was handed to RIA Novosti on Thursday.

According to UN experts, the breakdown followed the destruction of two of Iraq's largest power plants.
