As often as not, women chase beauty and attractiveness and forget about the essence of their charm and sexuality. They use different cosmetic tricks, but achieve only short-term improvement of their appearances, but continue to lose it over and over again. The reason for that lies in peculiarities of the female organism.
A little girl, a young woman and an adult woman. These are the three development stages of one person of female sex. They are associated with their own joys and misfortunes, peculiarities of development and diseases, especially gynecological.
Capricious Age
Form the very first moment of her life outside the mother’s womb, a girl is unsafe against many diseases of the urogenital system. The structure of female reproductive organs, their weak local immune protection and their relative openness many lead to the fact that infections, including sexually transmitted infections, may pass from parent to a child during the childbirth. A baby girl may also catch infections when she uses common hygiene items (like sponges or towels) and even during games.
Anomalies in the structure and development of sex organs can also cause suffering. The saddest thing about it is that a girl cannot describe her state yet. A child reacts to pain, itching and burning sensation by caprices, loss of appetite and nervousness. Parents often associate that (as well as more concrete symptoms like leg-twitching, scratching and urination disorder) with anything but gynecology.
Think it over: up to 30 percent of urogenital diseases are caught in the childhood before puberty. That is why a visit to a child’s gynecologist is neither whim nor caprice, but an objective necessity. In addition, with regular visits to a gynecologist a girl will acquire right stereotypes of behaviour: to have no fear for this terrible doctor, to visit him/her regularly (at least once a year) and to observe his/ her recommendations.
Age of Surprises
A girl reaches this age closer to puberty. The organism of a future adolescent individual prepares to enter a new stage and reforming: the pituitary, the thyroid gland and sex glands start working in a new way. The hormone ratio also changes. Hormones tune the girl’s body and lead to the appearance of secondary sexual characteristics, that is swelling and growing mammal glands, pubic hair and others. At the same stage the psychology of a future woman is altered. She is highly interested in her appearances and people of the opposite sex. She gradually acquires unperceived and incomprehensible desires and needs.
Finally, she starts her periods. Much alarm and anxiety is connected with this. Everything stands of great importance at this point – when it starts, when they become regular and how painful they are. All these nuances are sure to affect the girl’s future.
Any disturbance in the menstrual cycle may be a signal for the future problems with conception and child-bearing. It is a natural and instinctive desire for every girl to become a mother. A girl should visit a gynecologist and endocrinologist regularly to avoid any disappointment in the future. Besides, any distortion in the menstrual cycle affects skin. Progesterone (a hormone involved in the menstrual cycle) may cause pimples, the most formidable foe of women’s beauty.
The first sexual experience also has its surprises. Unfortunately, statistics exercises a decreasing trend in the average age when a female has her first sexual experience. Searching for new sensations and realizations of new needs, a girl is tempted into a sexual contact. However, one mistake may deprive her of sexual pleasures for a long time, in case she catchesvaginismus. Besides, what does she know about sexual infections, unwanted pregnancy and contraceptives? The best place to receive this information is a gynecologist’s room. The family is rarely an authority for a young woman in such issues. Outside (at school or from friends) she is unlikely to get reputable information. A doctor will make no mistake; he/she will give comprehensive, clear and relevant information. That is why it is of crucial importance to teach a girl to visit a gynecologist as a precaution.
Carefree Age
With age we get not only knowledge, skills and experience. New life conditions mean that a woman works equally with a man and has a great number of domestic chores as a wife, a mother and a grandmother sometimes. Still she has to remain a woman – beautiful, beloved and desired.
But this permanent lack of time results in a carefree way of looking at things. First of all, it concerns health. A woman thinks that now she is a grown-up, a mother and she knows everything about her sexual life, so she does not need a doctor. How wrong she is. This is the reason why women go to a gynecologist, endocrinologist and mammologist with chronic, old and neglected diseases with a great number of complications. The saddest thing about it is that this carelessness leads to infertility, surgical intervention and cancer.
Incidents of chronic infectious and inflammatory diseases occur most frequently. Negligence of a disease results in chronic inflammation of sex organs, which makes sexual life difficult or impossible. Experienced gynecologists may diagnose the chronic inflammation of appendage without even examining a patient. Some doctors can see sufferers in the street. Despite their attractive appearances such women show visible signs of disease. Naturally, it has nothing to do with sexuality.
Breast diseases are a bit less frequent. Due to women’s negligence of themselves and irregular visits to doctors their breasts become a source of pain, fear and suffering. Every fourth woman experiences breast pains (malstalgia) and nipple discharge, but only ten percent of them consult a doctor immediately. Others think that they could visit a doctor some time later. As a result, they may have mastopathy, benign tumours and cancer.
Further comes the menopause and postmenopausal problems. There is quite a number of myths and legends concerning this stage of women’s development. The most well-known one describes the menopause as “female death.” This is so not true. A menopause is as natural for a woman, as pregnancy and periods. A woman enters the next stage gradually; ovaries cease to function and the menopause comes.
The change in the ovary function is accompanied with unpleasant sensations: hidrosis, tachycardia, uroclepsia, vagina dryness and its inflammation. The hormonal balance is upset, which leads to more frequent diseases of the typhoid gland, type two diabetes, mastopathy and hysteromyoma.
Such changes affect women’s appearances: skin gets older, wrinkles appear, women no longer have slim waists, accurate and swift movements disappear. Finally a woman becomes very susceptible to climate changes. The nervous system suffers most of all. Depression, insomnia, worse memory and less sexual interest are the symptoms of the so-called climacteric syndrome.
Despite the inevitable problems that are physiologically connected with the adolescent phase, women can and must wrestle with the menopause. A woman must make it a point of making this period less painful and the next stage more effective. And again gynecologists, endocrinologists and mammologists can help her.
