The protocol on further cooperation between the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Chinese province of Anhui was signed. This is the result of the meeting of Nizhny Novgorod region Governor Valery Shantsev and deputy governor of Anhui Province of the People's Republic of China, Ms. Hua Jianhui.

The People's Republic of China is one of the main trade partners of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"In the field of trade and economic partnership, the areas of mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, aircraft service, high technology and trade in food products are most promising for us. In the humanitarian field, we look forward to considerably expand cooperation in education, particularly in inter-university cooperation, as well as in culture and tourism," said Valery Shantsev. "We hope that the above directions of bilateral relations will be an objective for us. We are open for cooperation and always welcome our Chinese partners," said the head of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The talks between deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region Natalia Kazachkova and the delegation of the Chinese province of Hunan were conducted in the beginning of June. The delegation consisted of representatives of sectoral organizations headed by the director of engineering management of Hunan Province, Chen Danpin. The participants of the talks discussed promising areas of cooperation, including specific proposals to strengthen ties in the field of investment, automotive and engineering industries, tourism and culture.
