Georgian carbonated drink mysteriously finds itself in Putin's residence

A bottle of carbonated drink of Georgian production, which was served to journalists at Putin's residence, just in case was sent for examination to the federal service for consumer control, Rospotrebnadzor, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Thursday.

The incident occurred before the events under the president's program of activities in Novo-Ogaryovo, when journalists paid attention to the label of Coca-Cola soft drink. The label said that the drink was made in Georgia. Journalists were quick to recall that a significant part of the Georgian foods was banned in Russia.

In response, Peskov promised to send the drink for analysis. According to him, there is no prejudice against Georgian products in Russia. However, Russian officials had previously expressed claims to a number of Georgian producers. Peskov admitted that he did not know how the made-in-Georgia drink found itself in Putin's residence.
