Nizhny Novgorod signs cooperation agreement with China's Anhui Province

The Nizhny Novgorod region and the Chinese province of Anhui signed an agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical and humanitarian cooperation.

According to the document, the parties will contribute to the development and expansion of trade and economic cooperation in the field of industry, including engineering, textile, chemical industry, as well as in building infrastructure.

The parties will also contribute to the development of contacts and relationships in the field of tourism, sports, youth policy and other spheres of the two regions of Russia and China.

"Our main task is to strengthen cooperation with the Nizhny Novgorod region in the economic, cultural and educational areas, - the head of the Chinese delegation, Zhang Baoshun said. - This is the first time when we hold talks at such a high level. Signing the agreement between the Nizhny Novgorod region and the province of Anhui will necessarily promote cooperation in various fields, in particular, in the field of education. This step is very important for us. We intend to continue developing cooperation between our regions."

"For us, this is great honor to welcome the special guests, who arrived with an important mission - to sign the agreement on cooperation between the two regions, - the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev said. - This is the fourth visit of the delegation of Anhui Province to the Nizhny Novgorod region, and we very much appreciate their attention to our region and the efforts that they take in the development of cooperation between our regions."
