Argentinean meat is one of the main items in the list of exports from the South American country to the Russian Federation, which in 2013 reached 2,583,000,000 USD, satisfying both parties. Buenos Aires and Moscow both wish to increase the trading cooperation.

The news was given recently by the Argentina-Russia Chamber of Commerce, including a detailed analysis of bilateral trade, built from export and customs data from Argentina.

The Chamber highlighted the growth in commercial exchanges, which passed from almost two billion USD in 2012 (1,989,000,000) to over two billion (2,583,000,000) in 2013, an increase of around 30 per cent year-on-year.

The main products sold by Argentina to Russia were fresh fruit, citrus fruits, meat and meat derivatives, dairy products and subproducts, manioc and dried fruits and nuts, also juices, alcoholic drinks, in which wine was the main component. Russian exports to Argentina included mainly components for nuclear reactors, vehicles, pharmaceutical products and technological products
